John Riggins Live At Velocity Five September 4

Come watch the NFL season opener at Velocity Five in Falls Church with the Diesel, #44 John Riggins, as the Washington Redskins take down the defending Super Bowl Champions, the New York Giants.  The live radio show with Hall of Famer Riggins is a must see for true Redskins fans.  The game will start at 7 PM and the Post Game Show with John Riggins will begin immediately after the game. Fans and listeners are encouraged to come early and stay late.

JOHN RIGGINS
John Riggins was a workhorse running back and the heart and soul of the Washington Redskins during his tenure in the nation’s capital. He rushed for 11,352 yards and scored 116 touchdowns in his 14-year NFL career. he scored a then-NFL record 24 touchdowns in 1983 and still ranks seventh all-time in touchdowns and 10th in rushing.

With his Hall of Fame playing days behind him, Riggo has taken his charisma, personality and sense of humor to the world of sports broadcasting. Not only does he serve as host for The John Riggins Show, which airs on Triple X ESPN Radio in Washington, ESPN Radio 950 in Richmond and 102.1 THE GAME in Virginia Beach, but he has previously worked with Westwood One Radio and Sirius Radio and is an analyst on “The Redskins Report” hosted by George Michael on NBC 4 in Washington.

Riggo has also starred in an off-Broadway production and appeared in other theatrical stage performances.
